I had the same problem running Kubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Alpha1 32 bit on an
AMD64 PC.
I set the root password, but adept crashed.
In a terminal session, I tried:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo /usr/bin/adept_installer
kapture::PkgSystem::PkgSystem()
Error: "/var/tmp/kdecache-cb" is owned by uid 1000 ins
Backport the fix please: https://github.com/ibus/ibus/issues/2002

I think this issue has been affecting me for a few years now but I just
recently started to look into it.
My current system is Ubuntu 19.04 but this issue was present even when I
was using 18.04 and 18.10 and even before that.
OS: Ubuntu 19.04
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700
Graphics (integrated only): H

Wow. still not fixed and 14.04 is gonna be released soon. This together
with keyboard stopping working in Java apps thanks to bugs in IBus, is

## Overview
Follow these steps to reproduce the bug:
1- Open an app such as Firefox or Chrome (let's assume Firefox)
2- Perform an operation that downloads a file of a type that Nautilus can
generate thumbnails for
3- Then click on the Open File
You'll see that Ubuntu does
All good. I just have to wait until the next LTS version. :)

@aleasto curious to know: In GNOME 24.10 and newer versions, does the
desktop environment utilize inotify to detect when images are saved,
moved, edited, or undergo other file operations in order to generate
thumbnails automatically?
