I have the same issue with my HP Pavilion TX1000, with xinerama enabled,

1) Yes, it is reproductible, It behaves a little different when I reproducted.

I had notice this same behavior from Firefox running Ubuntu Mate 17.04, with a
slightly different discover.
One time I did notice the freeze, got a call and left the computer for a while,
later to see that the Downloads folder did opened, but after several seconds.

After kernel upgrade to 4.4.0-45-generic, Wireless network does not apper on
network manager.
It does remember networks already in the list, and does connect, but the icon
showed is not the one for wifi. Network manager shows the icon as if it were
connected to a LAN networ
Tested with 4.4.30, same problem.
I found another way to reproduce the bug, problem appears always when laptop
goes to suspended mode.
I did an experiment, if I restart the network manager, I can see the wifi
networks list.

I'm using DiNovo Edge, and after every ubuntu version update, I'm still
changing "hiddev" to "hidraw" in udev rules. File changed to 62-bluez-
hid2hci.rules for Oneric. Is the problem in logitechs dongle working
wrong or why this is still broken?
I'll have to look at the Smurphy's solution.
