After fresh installtion of Kubuntu 13.10 on fresh newly purchased Dell
Vostro 2420 I found that tochpad is not working properly.
Symtoms:
I am able to change position of cursor using touchpad and able to left click
using touchpad. but scrolling is not working. so when I got

I am also facing the same problem after freshly installing mariadb in
Kubuntu 15.04. I am able to get mysql shell with root account but not
with my user account.
root@alok-PORTEGE-R30-A:~# mysql -u root -proot #is owrking
alok@alok-PORTEGE-R30-A:~$ mysql -u root -proot #not wokring

I am not able to connect using python too
import MySQLdb
db = MySQLdb.connect("localhost","alok","alok","messages")
is giving error

installing drivers from http://www.dahetral.com/public-download solves my
problem. I am able scroll using touchpad but mouse experience using touchpad is
not ok. tapping is not working properly now. I will downlaod and test with
latest ubuntu.

i am using Lenovo G550 with Kubuntu 12.10
my webcam works very well with cheese but kamoso mever worked for me even in
Kubuntu 12.04
and i am not seeing anyway to get the clue. when i run kamoso throguh terminal
its not showing anything ..
how is the problem ?

I also have same problem since ubuntu 11.04. for me this is not limited
to text editor. i face this problem everywhere except in terminal.
most of time my pointer's position changes to any random position itself. and
sometime content of last copied lined get paste itself at current position.

I am also facing problem in dell xps l502x on ubuntu 12.10. subwoofer
volume is very high so getting ticking sound from woofer. is there any
way to lower the woofer volume.
