I can confirm this bug on the Dell Vostro 1310 with the onbord Intel 965

There are some changes in the xorg.conf now since under jaunty from time to
time internal input devices are not recognized.
As the bug makes it impossible to switch to a console or to login i can't send

Sitting in front of the Vostro 1310 again: Upgraded to Jaunty. Still got
this nasty bug. using the line
driver "vesa" is a workaround but does nasty things to videoplayback and
there is no 3d accel. :-(

I tried the S3 with the UMS firmware on ubuntu 10.04 only ather manually
adding the lines mentioned by mlaverdiere i got it to be detected
properly. Will it be possible to include the lines mentioned in a
future release ?
