indeed wildfire has the same bug. In next release (0.11) those infinite
loops are detected by gajim and the dont_ack_subscription option is
automatically set tu True

patches (there are 2) here and test if they work (they should) with 0.10.1

please could you open the XML console (actions -> advanced -> Show XML
console) then enable it, and then try to upload your new vcard. And
could you copy here the XML messages that are sent and received from
this moment ?
