Hi,
the commit 3a498606bb04af603a46ebde8296040b2de350d1 mentioned in #54 has
been integrated to my current customized RHEL(CentOS)-7 for a certain

After cherry pick patch from Scott, I built 2 kernel deb for testing.
Please find deb package in the following URL:

I will keep eyes on this. And I will discuss with other kernel
developers about this. It is OK for me, IMO.

Hi D C Rose,
Could you please post /var/log/udev in 2.6.27 kernel which works for
you? Is that possible an issue about udev? Did you update udev package
to Jaunty release version? or please try latest Jaunty release again.
Thanks

Socket CF WiFi card firmware not loading after upgrade
Hi D C Rose,
If firmware request failed, udev should be created a dir named
/dev/.udev/firmware-missing. Do you find that dir on your machine?

Hi all,
It seems that I am pretty new for this issue. But from a point view of
Ubuntu kernel team, we prefer to encourage Realtek or people like you
guys to merge the driver to upstream mainline. It is much easier for us
maintain the driver. And It looks like Jaunty kernel works fine for you
guys.
I think this issue should be already fixed since Intrepid kernel. So i
will set the status to "fixed in release". If some one found similar
issue on Jaunty, please fire new bug.
Thanks

[hardy] RTL8185L driver not
Michael,
Although this patch was in intrepid, Jaunty kernel still missed it
because it is not in mainline? Do you have any plan to push this patch
to upstream mainline kernel? Then we don't need to port this patch for
every release.
Thanks

Great. I found the rtl8187se driver is in stage tree of Jaunty kernel.
And also it requires too many changes to ieee80211 stack. So there is no
reason for us to back port this big change to Hardy and Intrepid. Please
use Jaunty. If you guys find any new issue about Jaunty, please fire new
bug.
