This issue was resolved with the release version of Karmic. I hope to
test the Beta1 Lucid release on my Dell Mini 9 shortly.

I have problems installing Broadcom STA driver in Karmic alpha5, alpha4

Dell mini 9 with broadcom wireless chipset. machine seems ok until I
install the proprietary driver. I had similar problems after installing
this driver on my machine both with karmic alpha 5 & 6. the machine was
useable but generated frequent bug reports related to Nautilus.

follow-up as I have installed Karmic Beta on the Dell Mini 9. Once again
it seems fine until I install the sta driver via restricted drivers. The
machine threw up some kernel oops reports but seems to work now and I
have working wireless.
