npviewer. Timidity has been known to cause issues with pulseaudio. As root,
you will need to edit the /etc/default/timidity.cfg file. Find the line that

Travis, I feel that the Invalid status is still not right. It has been
noted that if the mouse is moved, then the screen does not center to the
password prompt. If the mouse does not move, then the screen does as
expected and centers to the dialogue box. That is the issue being
reported.

your machine (if you rebooted at all)?
If you didn't reboot at all, could you try that and see if those
messages come back the next time you lose sound.

Rainfly_X, most likely, your package cache became corrupted. To clear
the cache, run the following command in the terminal: "sudo apt-get
clean". That should then allow you to use your update managers.
