First of all, for me it records it in "webm" format. Secondly, it seems to be able to open it fine. (Refer to the attached video) It would be nice if they have some customising options as to which format you want it in, whether mic be turned on/off and so on. But that's Gnome's integration right

Have the same problem!!! Even now its quite bad. I must say, somehow, it became better but it is still bad. For example, if I have a file named "Ubuntu1", the first time I search with "Ubuntu", I get it. But not the second time. I either have to type in "Ubunt" or "Ubuntu1" or so. Quite annoying!
