I've noticed the issue with the backport and official mozilla upstream
builds, so if it's working on Hardy it's likely been compiled
differently somehow.. I'm not sure it's really important to fix the

It might make sense for upstream gnome-btdownload to abandon the
official bittorrent as a backend considering BitTorrent upstream is now
a windows-only closed-source program (based on utorrent) and use

This is not fixed in Hardy yet, as indicated. Enable Subpixel Smoothing
in Appearence prefs-> fonts and then compare openoffice's menu bar to
firefox or any other gtk apps and the difference is immediately

I agree. I suppose the problem is discoverability, though.. if Tomboy
isn't added to the panel by default it's hard for users to know it
exists in the default install.

Sorry Amos, I wasn't trying to criticize. I'm letting people know why
this was released: File Roller in its current state is useful for
Thunar/XFCE users because Thunar implements the necessary protocol. The
necessary protocol is NOT "misunderstood by all major applications."
