I tried those, and it didn't work.
The Xen hypervisor starts up, and it gets pretty much all the way
Public bug reported:
On a clean Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop installation, I installed ubuntu-xen-
desktop.
After installing and rebooting, it still doesn't work because it
requires Python 2.5 which was not in the dependency list.
Installing Python 2.5 fixed the initial error (but now I get Bug
#349987)
I should add that I was using the AMD64 platform and the alternate
installer.

I have the same problem on Ubuntu 9.04 AMD64.
While looking into what caused the problem, I noticed that /boot/grub/menu.lst
had not been changed to boot into the XEN hypervisor.
Also, there were not XEN ker
Hi Evan,
Yeah like I just posted in the bug, I noticed that it wasn't booting
into the hypervisor.

Wow! Didn't know that. That kinda sucks :-(

My problem was indeed caused by not having booted with the Xen
hypervisor.
After building my own Xen enabled kernel, xm will work correctly.

Hi Evan,
Yeah I was surprised something this obvious was broken in an RC - but
I guess Xen is not used much with Ubuntu.
Actually that might make me drop Ubuntu for now and stick with Debian
... although that sucks too since Deb is notoriously ancient with
everything.
As an alternative quick fix,

Looking at packages.ubuntu.org, it seems the last xen-image-* package

I'm not seeing ANY LVM volumes active on system boot.
(I'm not putting any of the necessary boot paths on LVM).
After booting the system, the volume is visible but not active.
If I put one of the drives in sftab, booting Ubuntu breaks.
Is there a workaround to make the system do "vgchange -a y" d
Public bug reported:
Installing
http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/package/core/saucy/universe/base/libstdc++5
in an amd64 machine still results in the .so not being found if running
a 32bit app.
In previous versions, installing ia32-libs would fix this problem - but
this package has been deprecated.
As posted in Bug #1074578:
As seen here (http://git.kernel.org/linus/0195c002), upstream aparently
removed asm/system.h on purpose, and dahdi will have to be fixed.

Has there been any progress with this?
I am seeing this problem 100% with an ESXi install using 3.0.0-12-server with
