Well, I thought it was fixed, but I had to reboot due to a power outage,
and now I only have one core active (as seen through /proc/cpuinfo).
I haven't upgraded to Jaunty yet, I was planning on doing a reinstall
with x86_64, to see if that makes a difference. I'll let you know what

I get this problem about 85% of the time in Intrepid, and I haven't
narrowed down the magic that brings up all four cores. It worked
flawlessly for weeks, and downgrading to 2.6.27-9 from 2.6.27-11 didn't
bring back all of my cores.

This may be a fluke, but I was trying to see if this would work, and it
did: I booted into Windows, to verify that it saw all four of my cores.
It did (Task Manager/Performance showed four graphs for CPU usage), and
when I rebooted into Intrepid, all four cores were recognized by the

I'm using an up to date version of hardy. The nautilus package
installed is:

file manager and graphical shell for GNOME
The nautilus windows still open when I login. One window per share. Do
you need any other information?

The lines in the original bug report are the actual lines from
/etc/fstab. To duplicate, the issue I boot up my laptop and login.
After the wireless network connection is established the shares start to
show up on the desktop. A few seconds later I see a nautilus window for
each share.

I think the proper solution would be to use a gnome app that wraps the
vnc viewer functionality. The vnc viewer appears to be just an "X" app.
I think I first saw this issue on edgy. Let me know if I need to
further clarify.

I think this issue may be resolved in hardy. I've heard some talk of
including a gnome VNC viewer application called vinegar that take care
of these issues. We will have to wait and see if it is included.

I've installed the Gelatin theme locally and it isn't being used by the
update-manager. Notice that the terminal window shows that it is
installed for the current user.
