No change here: Hardy still freezes just after pairing, regardless of
which device I use to initiate the pairing. Some times the device shows
up in the list of bonded devices after reboot, some times not.

This happens to me as well: Ubuntu Hardy freezes just after pairing with
my T610. The last lines in sylog are:

Sorry, I forgot to mention: There are no entries in /var/log/messages
which could be connected to the crash: The last entries are made 3-4
minutes before the freeze.
