Hi Fabrice,
I manually create the deb package using fakeroot and dpkg. I will put
up my source tree this evening and provide a link to it.
I'd love to be able to create a true debian source package and if anyone
can tell me how to do that I will do it immediately.
Its just scripts so there is n
Emanuele from the MOTU group has already contacted me about it as well.
I'm going to email him the source as well as put it up on my repo.

to the popularity-contest package - as far as remasters go anyway.
It seems that trying to reconfigure popularity-contest causes this to
hang which is what is happening at 94%. I've looked through Ubiquity

One other thing I noticed when looking into this, I saw mention of

I emailed the source tarball and dsc file to Emanuele a few days ago
when I finished with it.

I have sent the tarball I have on but haven't heard anything back since.
If anyone can point to to a howto on creating a debian source package
for a script, I'd be happy to set it up and then it would be ready.
Most of the source package stuff I have found related to making packages

This makes more sense. It would appear this issue might arise after an
install from a usb created remaster that has persistence on. I will do
some testing of this very scenario tonight and see what happens. I can
fix this for remastersys but it will still be an issue for folks that do

Can the folks having these issues tell me if the system they are using
to install from is USB with persistence?
It seems this is only happening on installs that take place from USB
with persistence. Are all of the bug reporters installing remasters
