I've attached one of about a dozen ps files that seem to hang Evince. I believe that all these files were created via the "print to file" option via the Firefox print dialog. I can successfully import these files into GIMP. The postscript files output by Lilypond do open successfully with Evince.

I have the same problem with the installation hanging after an alert about the migration assistant. I ran "ubiquity --debug" and have attached /var/log/syslog and /var/log/installer/debug output. ** Attachment added: "installer debug log and syslog" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9527204/debu

As a workaround I ran "ubiquity --no-migration-assistant" in a terminal window instead of using the desktop install launcher. The installation succeeded although without migration assistant. I've got some time and empty partitions. I would be happy to try additional installs. -- Gutsy beta - D

Same bug here with Gutsy on an AMD64, fglrx, ATI 1300 graphics board. Happens nearly every day. Haven't noticed exactly what triggers it. Restarting X clears the corruption. Thanks Wille for the XAANoOffscreenPixmaps suggestion. I've edited it into xorg.conf. I hope it works. -- black h

I have the same problem (sound only on analog output, nothing on digital). I've attached the output of the ALSA-info utility. I upgraded the alsa driver as per the comments above but the change had no effect on the problem. ** Attachment added: "alsa info utility output" https://bugs.launchp
