I think I have the same bug. But I'm not sure. I just upgraded to 12.04 lts and
after that I couldn't start josm from the unity launcher anymore.
So I did/found the following
1. Started command_promt typed "josm" and got "No valid JVM found to run JOSM."
2. Checked for packages "openjdk-6-jre | su
I reinstalled ubuntu on a computer. Before I had this issue maybee 1/5
startupps. But now (even with the workarounds) i would say its more 7/10
times.. I just started to use linux 2 month ago but Im starting to
wonder if switching was a good idea.
