I could move the mouse but not enter a password, it was just like the
keyboard was dead. Switched to vt8 I got a login to another users
session. I could type in the password box there. Then back to vt7 and I
was able to enter the password to unlock.

Sometimes in 14.04 I don't have any audible sound. Checking volume
applet > Sound Settings I can see that output is set to S/PDIF. Even
though the audio previously was through HDMI. Switching it back to HDMI
makes the sound audible again.

suspend. Or if I don't do it manually, it will turn off automatically

I followed the guide and could see in the log that analog was selected.
Switched back to HDMI before killing pulseaudio. I'm not sure on which
output was used before I killed pulseaudio the first time though and I'm
not sure if that matters?

After upgrading to 13.10 today, every time I unlock my computer after
leaving it for a long time I get this prompt:

I did the upgrade via do-release-upgrade because update-manager did not
show any updates (even though configured show all versions).

impaired (very slow and drag up/down left/right to scroll doesn't
work).
So I guess #32 will be a better fix so I suggest to all that use that

System is doing fine on 1.6.2-1ubuntu1~precise2 regarding crashes.

synaptics had been upgraded even though locked in Synaptic. It seems
unattended-upgrades don't care about that version lock.

Hello
Since a few kernels back (or some other package?!) I get freezes every ~
30-35 seconds. I can see this because if I play a video, it freezes. If
I type something, it freezes. If I move the mouse pointer, it freezes.
I ONLY get this while being docked.

Hello. I will do this test ASAP. For now, I have made a good discovery.
It has nothing to do with the docking station. It only happens when I
have an external monitor connected (DisplayLink).
When I connect my external monitor, I can reproduce the freezes. When I
disconnect it, they disappear. 100
On average, two crashes a week.
Latest added this in Xorg.0.log before giving up.

I always have this issue while booting without AC. Tried the kernel boot
option workaround but that didn't help. Have Intel gfx.

First install this package:
sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager
then opening the tool, general options > display settings and setting
overlapping output handling to either prefer smaller monitor or prefer
larger monitor (depending on which resolution the exte
