I am able to reproduce this result when I open a file as an attachment
in Evolution. I just got a PPT sent to me, after opening through
Evolution I get som bad-resolution ugly icon even though a nice one is
shown in Evolution.

Can this update please be included in Karmic? The one in the archives
now crashes when you retrieve an email which makes it pretty useless.

People are probably shooting more video and doing less photography these
days so video support is quite necessary if Ubuntu should be able to
compete with for example Picasa.

I got the problem back again after needing to reset my BIOS. Obviously
it was some setting in the BIOS that I had changed from the default
value that solved this problem for me. Now I only need to find out which
value that was... :)

Doing a shutdown instead of suspend shows a message like attached file,
that some application inhibits the shutdown.
So maybe the same for suspend?
So this should be notified to the user.
What application is inhibiting the shutdown in this case, has this
request been logged somewhere?

I often use a secondary display on my laptop. I have set in Settings >
Display that the launcher shall be placed on this external (bigger)
display.
When resuming from suspend and logging in, the login window is on the
external display. But after logging in, all desktop icons
Workaround: Go to Settings > Display and built-in, disable, apply,
enable = Icons on primary display and built-in is just extra.

I am using my laptop with an external display. When I want to close the
built-in display, while working on the external, the computer is locked
for no reason.

is not selected.
But, after resuming from suspend, the brightness is very low and I
