I can confirm this. I have problems every day with flashpages in FF3b5.

Live CD. That worked without a hitch. I observed that I didn't have the
package libpam-smbpass when using the Live CD.
I'd hate to be forced to reinstall
I have now tried to remove all packages that are named *cups* (did it in
a console session without X running because I was forced to remove a lot
of packages that depended on cupsys) and also ran dpkg --purge
. Removed /etc/cups completely then reinstalled all
packages again. Rebooted the computer
Have now also tried moving the printer to another computer, also
upgraded from Gutsy to Hardy.

I've just tried with todays (070824) iso of gutsy. I got the usual error
and I was told X was disabled.
I downloaded xserver-xorg-core_1.3.0.0.dfsg-12ubuntu1_i386.deb and
upgraded with dpkg -Gi. Restarted gdm and waited but X didn't start this
time either, same error as before.

After digging some more in finding out why glxinfo is called I found out
that it was compiz probing for needed gl features. I have not enabled

The system felt a bit slow so I logged out. This wasn't successful, only
all icons any everything disappeared now only showing my background
picture. I tried using the keyboard but nothing worked. I did a SSH to

Yes I know but if you in FF set it as default browser when you are asked
it should be able to do that, right?
After manually changing in gconf I have been able to use FF 3 as default
browser for all programs except for apport which still starts FF 2.

that needs to be reacted upon.
However, to satisfy every ones needs and likings, there should be a way
to turn it off in Preferences.

I just now had a problem with update-manager stealing focus. This
resulted in me answering some question in the update-manager terminal
without having a clue to what the question was (because I was typing
like crazy when the focus stealing occured).

burn and I checked the close checkbox to make the window go away.

This was actually fixed by doing 'sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-
xorg'. The bug I should have opened was probably about the bad install
of fglrx.

It also crashes when I try to disable my fglrx driver. Martin, maybe
this should be increased to critical as this probably affects everyone
with a Nvidia card that is using the fglrx driver (that does a fresh
install)?
