A successful boot overwrites "/var/log/boot.log" --- didn't had a chance to
find out what happened, because:

I've compiled and installed the plain vanilla kernel from kernel.org. As far as
it is compiled with the same config-set as the ubuntu-saucy one it has the same
problem – it doesn't boot. I've tried with default config (make defconfig) and
did not have success either.

20.0.1128.0 build 135549, while Ubuntu only has version 20.0.1132.47

Fix is only released for Raring, not for Quantal, Precise, Oneiric,

Nautilus crashes opening digicam generated jpeg2000 files to show the
embedded thumbnail. Switching of thumbnails from embedded pictures keeps
nautilus from crashing.

Thunderbird hangs every view minutes for a longer time (up to 10
minutes), not reacting to any keypress, not updating any of open
windows. CPU-Usage is at 100%, only one or two of the various threads
running have CPU-usage of together 100%. All other threads are sleeping.

This is for Ubuntu 11.04 only at the moment.
There is a workaround, but this is stupid, because it enters necessary
name servers and search lists into "/etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d/head"
forcing resolvconf to enter them into "/etc/resolv.conf".
