Binary package hint: pulseaudio
As in title; choosing any out of the 3 available microphones in sound
panel doesn't trigger the input level meter. Sound recorder application
records no sound. I haven't tested external microphones.

Does work in software center; don't know about on login as I'm auto
loging in. Doesn't in terminal window.

I don't get neither 'Password or swipe finger' nor whatever gnome's
graphical swipe your finger prompt is after setting up ThinkFinger. tf-
tool --acquire and tf-tool --verify both return no problems.
