It is not a solution, but I installed ubuntu kernel 2.6.22 This one
seems to work properly. I think you can find it in feisty repository.

I've tested kernel 2.6.27-3-generic a few minutes ago and it seemed to
work. I managed to get my WM5-Phone connected and synced without any
problems. In my case, this bug-report seems to be completed.

I would really like to test the new kernel, but I couldn't manage to get
it installed. I pasted the lines from your message to my sources.list
and updated apt, but after that I couldn't find any packages concerning
the 2.6.25 kernel with apt-cache or Synaptic. Did I do something wrong?

Confirming this issue. Streaming using the separate RTP-Sink from Jaunty
to Hardy causes the server's pulseaudio instance to crash; streaming
using the configuration "from local speaker" works but the playback is
not in sync.
