The first comments state that the Indicator Plugin was either not
installed or not added to the panel (comment #2). If you have removed
the indicator area knowingly, you should disable the autostart entry for
the Indicator Application service (comment #11).
Running "sudo nm-applet" is not recommen

share your patch and forward it to the linked upstream report also.

Lubuntu 14.04 [1] maps the power button as follows:
lxsession-default quit
This configuration may interfere with xfce4-power-manager. Also, the
power manager is probably not able to call and display the Xfce logout
dialog without an active Xfce session.
Relate
I suggest that you upgrade to Ubuntu 14.10 and test the new xfce4-power-
manager release (1.4.x). The calculation of the energy values may have
been fixed in the meantime.
If this is not the case or if you still prefer Ah over Wh, please file a
bug report on the Xfce bug tracker. Thanks in advance
