They are both the same thing, about text being interpreted as HTML by Kopete
when it should be interpreted as plain text. That's why I marked it as a
duplicate.
There was an option in the KDE3 version of Kopete to disable sending/receiving
in HTML format, but this appears to be missing in the KD
The setting are held in ~/.kde/share/config/kioslaverc, so you could just edit
that.
Keep in mind that these settings will only effect your KDE session, not the
system or anyone else's. That's why it's completely normal for it to be
configurable from the GUI.

packages and beginning to upload 4.0.3.
I'll mark this bug as fixed now that the problem had gone.

If it did do something by default (like bring up the KMenu), then you'd loose
it as a modifier key. So it would be useless in Compiz or some KWin Composite
features.
