Networked auth is not configured in blocking mode. ldap is even setup as a
secondary lookup - not primary. I don't know why resolvconf insists on talking
to the ldap servers.

As the OP, our servers have several interfaces which gives a server
access to various subnets. One of these holds the ldap auth servers. If
this interface is downed first, resolvconf will hang for ldap.conf

I noticed that when this problem occurs opening a wallet also seems to
hang. The wallet opens but the wallet looks empty and it is not possible
to add or delete entries. Once the KDE wallet subsystem is disabled and
reenabled, the wallet works again. This might be more of a KDE wallet

I have this problem as well.
Tried adding -v to ifdown in /etc/init.d/networking but it just hangs
with:

+ ifdown -v -a --exclude=lo
Running /etc/init.d/networking stop before rebooting works though.

Starting or autostarting a clustered lvm2 volumegroup fails with the
error below. Non-clustered vgs works as expected.
# virsh pool-start vg2

The vg was created as a normal vg. Ie.
vgcreate vg2 /dev/disk/by-id/dm-uuid-mpath-.
Then I installed and configured clustering (cman, clvm, fence-agents)
and once cman was running I ran lvmconf --enable-cluster, vgchange -cy
vg2 and finally service clvm start.
At this point /etc/init.d/clvm c
I'm getting this error in precise:
# cat /var/log/upstart/iscsi-network-interface.log

Resolvconf seems to be causing the "hang" in at least one of my
testcases. It seems to be attempting to speak with our ldap
authentication servers. Strace shows it is trying to lookup the
hostnames of the auth servers and the connect to them multiple times for

On every cold boot, dmraid fails to create devices nodes for a secondary
software raid 1+0 device, which means that the "failed to mount, s to
skip mounting or m for manual recovery" message is shown. I have to hit
M, type dmraid -an, dmraid -ay and exit s

does not fix the problem for me.

I think I have this problem (or the problem at #633392) with a guest
running on a Maverick kvm host. But only on Maverick. I'm not seeing it
on any of the Lucid hosts.
The only peculiar difference I've found between the two hosts is that
tcpdumping the bridge shows double externally broadcasted pa

related to this error.
That leaves me with a kvm guest experiencing periodical outages on a
Maverick host with no apparent differences compared to a Lucid host.

When adding a vlan to a bonding interface, all vlan tagged broadcasts
seems to arrive twice on the bonding interface according to tcpdump.
Remove the vlan and the double packets stop.

Oddly enough, my experience is that I works perfectly on Lucid and
randomly on Maverick. :)
Could you show me the output of "brctl showstp vb0" and "brctl showstp
vb1" on Maverick? Also, the contents of all files in /proc/net/vlan/*
might also help.
