indicator-sound no longer functions with xfce4-ind
Will the importance be raised as 13.10 nears release? The reason I ask
is whether easy workarounds should include having users search through
bug reports to find the "easy workarounds" that require editing system
files?
I can understand that there are probably far more important issues to
work on
I'm having a similar problem but my session is always saved, even when I
have the Applications > Settings > Sessions and Start-up to NOT
automatically save sessions.
I've run the apt-cache policy as requested from the reporter of this

I have tested Edimax EW-7811UN with v3.8-rc5-raring and the bug still
exists as originally submitted.
The Realtek driver for the RTL8192 chip does not compile correctly so

I agree, I incorrectly titled this bug.
To elaborate a bit, the problem is not in the entry file nor in the XFCE
menus. When logging into a pure XFCE environment, the
systemsettings.desktop works correctly from within the XFCE menus.

With the Dell D620, I found I had to load i8k with fan_mult=1. i8k has
a built in speed multiplier of 30 which was required for older laptop
motherboards. Newer laptops do not need this multiplier.
