Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: apport
This bug was repported using apport-cli. I am using Karmic, upgraded
from Jaunty two months ago. I have kept the system updated everyday.
It is up to date now.
The apport-gtk I am using is 1.9.3-0ubuntu4.
I expected the app to start, it fails.

apport-gtk will not start. Attempting to run the commmand:
/usr/share/apport/apport-gtk -c %f, returns a cant file file. This occurs even
after a reinstall of apport-gtk.

crash due to power to the machine being removed during operation: that has
happened.
I'll install rsyslog and report on the outcome.
Thanks for your email and your help.

This is a problem that I have noticed for a number of years on several
different machines and several different Ubuntus.
It is customary for a file manager to display documents of different
filetype as icons of associated with that filetype. N
