Hi everybody,
Recent update fix the issue of the brightness indicator (it moves now!)
but the indicator is still here, I can't click on menus, etc.
(fortunately switching VT workaround still works)

This bug affects me. It appears suddenly, this morning everything worked fine.
I have tried to purge and reinstall two packages :
system-config-printer-common 1.1.3+git20090218-0ubuntu19.2
system-config-printer-gnome 1.1.3+git20090218-0ubuntu19.2
I have also tried to switch to :
system-config-pr
I have just tried to purge and reinstall cups (and all dependances) and
system-printer-config works fine, but I have to re configure all the
printers... Thanks to cups, that tasks is very easy (It makes everybody
on Windows jealous)

I experience the same problem
When I close the lid of my laptop the system freezes, mouse & keyboard doesn't
respond. I got the problem since I made a fresh install of gutsy. With feisty
everything works fine. I've got a Dell Inspiron 510m with intel 82853/855 GM
graphic card.

Don't know if this can help but I experienced this bug (as originally posted)
on and Dell laptop 510m, with intel 855GM chip and "intel" driver on a fresh
install of gutsy. Everything was fine when I was under feisty with i810 driver,
so I switch to i810 driver and everything go back to nor
Exactly !
I fixed the problem by replacing the "intel" driver by the old "i810" driver.
Everything (closing lid, resuming, shutting down...) works fine since then.
