I don't know if this is related, but after that error I had gg account
configured, but when tried to chat I got disconnected every time I sent
a message.

Updated to 11.04 64bit and affects me also.
Kudos for Zuzkins. Followed the steps with the exception of sleep 3; and
works like a charm.

Happend to me as well on 2.6.32-25-generic Ubuntu 10.04. Although I
could not reproduce this, it happened when i booted up on battery and
plugged power just before logging into gnome. No wireless networks
available and process phy0 firing around every minute and taking up all
processor time, it alm
