It would be better to warn the user that can't work instead of the crash.
There's a bug somewere anyway.

I tried to install edgy on a new HD using
ubiquity from a running edgy on my old HD.
I don't know if it's supposed to work.
It crashed with the following message
just after building the filesystem.
