Thanks for your info, maybe it is related to the post you provided.
I added clocksource=hpet to the kopt in grub and boot went fine.
dmesg still showing "Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = -83373425 ns)" but so
far my system seems to be doing ok :-)
I'lll keep an eye on it.

This behavior is so weird and so nasty at the same time, but i have no
way to figure it out yet.
If i play some real fast chess games ("blitzen") over the Internet at fics with

potentially my machine freezes, like
Same here on hardy with a cherry stingray, assigning the calculator hot-

Ja, same happens here on my new hardy-release, still using KDE 3. It worked
under Gutsy for me, but now keep makes backups every hour.
According to http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=32984 the
hour-bug should be fixed with version 0.4, but it isnot.
Maybe it was re-introduced ?

Same here. Reason: kio_videodvd is simple missing in Kubuntu 7.04, it
should be in /usr/lib/kde3, but it isnt.

Hi,
i seem to have a somewhat disturbing kernel bug on my machine, it is an AMD X2
running 686 smp kernel.
Due to powernowd (for cool&quiet ) the clocksource seems to be always unstable.

To add the missing module use this link:

But it might be a good idea to have the atl1c as a default module.

Sadly the same happens with Live CD NattyNarwhal - Alpha3 - Kubuntu. But this
time i was able to get some logs, booting with Linux Mint 10 KDE Live CD, and
it shows a "GPU lockup - switching to software fbcon".
Clever thing, Linux Mint has a xorg failsafe for the boot.
