I have the same problem with Asus m51se (HD 3470) and Ubuntu 9.04 I've
tried all the suggestions but none works. Drivers 9.5 from ati don't
works at all, and pc freeze at login indipendly from selected driver on
xorg.conf.

I think that 9.04 is affected by this and 355495 resulting no
configuration works.
