I get the same backtrace if I try to run the driver installer from
nvidia's website with upstream kernel and upstream kernel source to
build the module with when it trys to load it. This may not be a bug in
the new kernel like I thought.

I have done a clean build with Lucid, now that the kernel in question is
in main and I upgraded to it the problem did not occur again. I am sure
this was some idiosyncrasy on my end and this bug may be the same as the
nvidia one and should not be worried about

If I disable the screen saver then re-enable it , it dims slowly until
the point when the screen saver is suppose to start then the monitor
lights back up to the desktop. Restarting the computer fixes this.

Looks like a problem with the new driver for intel chipsets in Karmic. If you
said it worked perfect in 8.xx then you can revert back to that driver by
following the instructions here

I think 9.10 gave you the 2.6 driver witch for some reason is not
working for the chip you have right now.

As far as it is now because apple uses some weird short name system you
can not move music over to the iphone without making some tweaks. You
can pull the music off but you will see the short names but you can just
use Picard to fix that.

You have done it just fine if you got the Kernel to install I only had
to follow the Ubuntu instructions because of a Kernel Panic at boot.

Oh that would of been nice to know for the last kernel bug I worked on.
But I have just tested that current 2.6.35-rc1 and the bug is not
present there.

early in Maverick I was able to watch my dumb shows in vlc or movie
player, for the past few days movie player ask for me to search for the
codec but does not find anything and vlc says it does not support DIV3
or H264 but it does... I have the restricted extras installed
