My input won't really be useful but I have the same problem here with a

In the first place, I was trying to mount a remote directory under
/media, so a drive icon would pop up on my desktop, just like when I
insert my USB drive or mount a truecrypt volume..
When I try to mount under /media, I get no error message but I can't access the

Tonight I had to make some tests with a new access point and had to
switch from my personal AP to the test AP a number of times.
I figured NM was no longer refreshing the wireless network list at all.

You also come across that error message when you have several SSH

The only way I found to temporarily handle that problem is to empty
/home/user/.ssh/known_hosts and chmod 000 it.
