know exactly the version) the system hard freeze at X's startup.
Using the original Ubuntu 6.06 CD (the one 2006-May-20 that I have) I
don't have problems

Same here, PDO perhaps is the BEST improve in PHP 5.1 and the only way to make
it work in dapper is a compilation.

Doesn't work in my kubuntu. I try several layouts, but the only way to
get accented vowels is pressing ALT+a, ALT+e, etc (i.e. no dead-keys)
with this layout:
setxkbmap -model hp2501 -layout us -variant intl
Any Idea? How do you fix this? I made daily upgrades and no one fixed
this issue.

Same here with HP Deskjet 810cxi. I've tried also installing foomatic-* from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/foomatic/ and the .ppd from
