Hi All,
Yes this "could" be with compiz-fusion. Try disabling effects like those burn,
lamp etc. Use minimize effect instead. this can be configured from the compiz
configuration. This should work, but not 100% sure. Hoping for better fix from
Ubuntu 8.04 tomorrow.

by the way, disabling the compiz-fusion totally cant really be a
solution. if nothing helps, try removing the Avant Window Manager
instead. I think Avant has more stability issues than the compiz-fusion.
No positive response from the guys at Ubuntu yet. sigh...

Compiz Fusion (that comes with Ubuntu 7.10) with Avant Window Manager.
Sometimes, while minimizing windows, the entire xserver restarts: as if

It's been a while, I am really requesting the Ubuntu Development Team to
come up with the updated Soya 0.13.1 package, many games are not
starting because of this error. Or at least please provide a decent &
