Pedro, why did you close this bug because no new information was
provided? No new information was asked for!
I have this problem on Jaunty fully up to date and freshly rebooted.
lsusb shows:
...
Bus 003 Device 005: ID 0b0e:620c GN Netcom
...
and upon insertion, dmesg shows:
[ 1467.480090] usb 3
I de-installed:
sudo dpkg -r brother-cups-wrapper-extra brother-lpr-drivers-extra
and installed from the brother website
sudo dpkg -i Desktop/mfc260ccupswrapper-1.0.1-1.i386.deb
Desktop/mfc260clpr-1.0.1-1.i386.deb
and it all works fine for me.

I take that back.
The official brother debs cause the test-print page to print properly,
printing from firefox seems to come out fine
but printing from gedit still cuts off the first 2 text lines, although
the left columns are all there.
The printer job options margins were all set to 0 points.
Now I put the margins back to 0 and I still get the gedit header.
Consider these the ravings of a loony unless someone else reproduces it;
I'm back to saying that the brother's own packages do work and the
ubuntu brother ones don't

Possibly a dup of #306756 but it's hard to tell as they don't provide
any more info.
On todays jaunty, fresh reboot even, pidgin logs into IRC and jabber
fine, but get's stuck connecting to MSN.
The "turny circle" also stops turning; and pidgin s

Since moving to Intrepid with 2.6.27-2-generic I haven't had this

I've moved to Interpid Ibex and I still have this problem even with

Still often, only 1 cpu is recognized, although on Sunday 2 CPU were

I wish launchpad had the ability to let us offer bounty's on bugs, then
canonical could hire staff based on demand.
However, I generally find for any ubuntu bug that if you wait two or
three releases it gets fixed (or goes away of it's own accord).

I disagree with the "invalid".
The cause may be nfs, or the cause may be an nfs client crashing or
losing network connection, but then the problem is wth firefox.
Currenly I manually remove my profile and lose my history, bookmarks,
client certs and everything.
There is a problem with firefox if

I followed the notes here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Watches
and made it also-affect (picks one at random) Centons and made it track

which I filed, with a camel debug as you suggest.
Thanks
