For 20210227 and 20210228 ISOs noticed the remove medium message is
showing correctly.
Later accidentally (embarrassingly) noticed that previously when I
reported message not shown, it was not in fullscreen mode and the
message was blocked from view. If we scroll down the message is at the
botton.
Another work-around:
Comment out 'match' section inside /etc/fonts/conf.d/91-ubuntu-mate-emoji.conf
file.
I do not know what could be side-effects of this, though.

Issue still exists in hirsute daily builds. usb-creator-kde version
0.3.9. Suggested solution on ubuntu-testers telegram group was to
replace line `import sip` in `/usr/bin/usb-creator-kde with line `from

Not possible to set 'Alt+PrtScr' as shortcut key for 'Active Window'
in ScreenGrab

How to reproduce:
1) Login to UM session and change to Yaru-MATE-dark theme if not already.
2) Open file manager 'Caja' and select a file or folder.
3) Try to rename it by using 'F2' or selecting 'R
The issue was raised by our community forum user. Following is the work
around suggested there, which I confirm works.
1) Add following line to `/usr/share/themes/Yaru-MATE-dark/gtk-3.20/gtk.css`
and `/usr/share/themes/Yaru-MATE-dark/gtk-3.20/gtk-dark.css`
2) Restart the mate-session (logout/log

I tested with Xubuntu 21.04 iso and confirm the reported issue. Below is
what I tried.
1) Install with lvm+encryption option.
2) Note down the recovery key.
3) At next boot, use recovery key instead of passphrase that we set.
4) The key unlocks the disk and we are able to login.
5) Once logged

While this may work (I did not try tbh), it is not an ideal solution.
The greeter should reflect changes done via gsettings/dconf-editor.
Also, as I checked today, this is not specific to Ubuntu MATE. Same
issue exists in LinuxMint when arctica-greeter is installed and enabled.

I'm trying to use Polari IRC app on Ubuntu 20.04 (in virtualbox). I'm
not able to join any chatroom because the 'Join' button stays greyed out
when a chatroom is selected. This is same for any server/chatroom I

Request to create separate home logical volume or allow manual LVM in
Ubiquity. Currently it only creates root and swap logical volumes when
LVM option is selected for automated installation type. When manual
partitioning is selected, there is no LVM option unlike in Debian
installer.
