Retested with Ubuntu 9.04 and mainline kernel 2.6.30-rc3. Still the same
problem.

With the release of Ubuntu 9.04 today I no longer get the reported warning, and
no back buffer error messages in Xorg.log.
I consider the problem fixed.

[Summary]
Copying a specific file from the USB hard drive results in the copy hanging and
repeating "No Sense" messages in the log. Probably not a unusual_devs.h
FIX_CAPACITY issue. The installed system is Ubuntu 8.10, but problem also
present on Jaunty Beta live CD and 8.1
I was not aware any response from me was expected.
As reported in comment #2 this problem was fixed with the release of Ubuntu
9.04.
So please close this bug.

In the Norwegian Bokmål translation string number 116 "Maker Note" is
translated into "Notat fra fotograf". I believe "Maker" in the English
text means Camera Maker/Make/Model. I added the suggestion "Utvidet
metadata for kameramodell" which I believe
