I noticed that one of the recent upgrades of unity (I am not sure which)
broke windows auto-raising. I have focus-follow-mouse set, and it works,
but then I have auto-raise set, with a one second delay, and it does
nothing.

works. So now i do not know exactly what can be happening.

Even after unity --replace &, some (standard) icons are not clickable. For
example, bluetooth. It is as ever accessible by clicking on the rightmost icons
and then scrolling to it.
I have the whitelist set to "all" and the following icons showing (left to

For what is worth, I give a +1 to Lachlan Andrew. Moreover, it is so
easy to fix: let the user optionally choose global menu only for
maximized windows, local otherwise. In my humble opinion, it would be

update to Maverick my Asus Eee PC 1005PE netbook. UNR in Lucid is pleasant to
use.

I can confirm that if I stop and restart pulse audio as told in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PulseAudio/Log, the "sound preference" entry
will work, and the bug comes back. Deleting the .pulse directory, again,
makes the sound working again.
