1. switching to next source works ok if I choose a normal key combo, for
example, Super+Space. On pressing the combo, the layout switches, the

The trick of disabling tray icon does not help for me.
It seems that deselecting "using client resolution" and putting a fixed
resolution works arounf the bug for me.

I correct myself. Happened again, with a fixed client resolution.
The strange thing is that if the resolution I use is less than the one the
Windows client has natively it seems to work. If I use a bigger resolution it
crashes.
To be clear --- in 1152x864 it seems to work, in 1280x960 it crashe
Another comment/question: I use remmina quite heavily on my other machine, and
never happened. It happened on this new PC in which I have the 64-bit version
of Quantal.
Could be a 32bit/64bit problem?

I hit (probably) the same bug --- made connecting to my PC via VNC practically
impossible.
Ubuntu 12.10, using gnome-shell. After a few minutes of remote VNC operation
(using JumpDesktop from an iPad), gnome-settings-daemon crashes, and after that
all the applications come out "ugly".

Fedora has gvfs 1.15
(http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=5487) while
Quantal has 1.14, which has been rapidly deleted on Fedora. I have not
time to dig this more, but, if there is a PPA with a 1.15 build, I am
available to test it out.

Some more info: had a lot of tearing when activating the "notification"
(mouse in the lower right corner) area. Unbearable with "anti tearing"
off, simply annoying with "anti tearing on".
Still unable to obtain a screenshot. Can anyone confirm this?

Another data point: the lock-screen simply makes the screen a mess
(complete lack of sync, it seems, like the not-so-good-old-times when
you got ModeLine frequency wrong in x11.conf files).

Since the upgrade to 11.10, network-manager applet "edit connection"
behaves in a strange way.
Clicking on it open a window (see attached) that let you edit
