I just found a workaround to this bug:
xinput set-int-prop "bttv IR (card=123)" "Device Enabled" 32 0
releases the x.org lock of the device and then LIRC started to work...
Can this be somehow set in xorg.conf as permanent setting?

The only workaround I fount so far is to start KVM with -no-kvm-irqchip
option. In this case FreeBSD VMs handle reboots properly. I have added
info about this to the upstream bug report.

I found a workaround.. seems that old method still works without change:
filling these informations to /etc/network/interfaces
iface eth1 inet static
address ..
netmask ..
gateway ..
wireless-key ..
wireless-essid .
auto eth1
and adding one line to /etc/resolv.c
I must note that I see this problem really only in firefox. Never seen it in
other GTK app
(and I had to use thousands of right-clicking in different apps)

Seems that it is related more to compiz than gimp,
because it cannot be reproduced with metacity.
So for Gimp this should stay invalid, but it should be valid for
compiz..
