I've been able to use touchpad for about 15 minutes. Then, when I turned
on two-finger scrolling option in settings touchpad stopped working with
following error printed in logs:

Also can report that right click (context menu) is not working
correctly, when clicking with it acts like a left click (selecting

Apparently the bug was fixed with some of the today of yesterday
updates. There were several packages related to gstreamer that were
updated.
To be sure, this weekend I'll check what I have at another computer.
However, "gst-inspect" still does not report any plugin related to wma,
thought perhap

amarok does not play wma files in ubuntu 14.04
Brian, that bug is related to the "sessioninstaller" package that was
never installed in my system (I use KUbuntu, maybe sessioninstaller is
not used in KDE?). It cannot be a duplicate of that bug therefore.
However, it was fixed anyway and that is enough for me.

Same issue in 16.04.1 LTS, the laptop is Asus Zenbook UX32VD. Black
screen, cursor moving.
To avoid restarting and losing all unsaved data, I did the following:
1. Switch to TTY1 (Ctrl+Alt+F1)
2. Log in
3. Kill compiz process:
sudo kill -9 `pidof compiz`
4. Switch back to TTY7 (Ctrl+Alt+F7)
