Adding/Removing an external monitor causes open windows to move to

I am using my laptop in two ways: stand-alone and connected to an
external monitor with a different resolution. I have configured 6
virtual workspaces (3 horizontal, times 2 vertical).
Each time I switch from one to the other (which is about 5 times a day),
windows are moved

We are using one-time passwords. Thus, automatically saving passwords in
the keyring, is unwanted. As far as I can tell, there is no way to
disable the automatically checked select box which determines whether or
not the password is stored in the keyring.
