Hi, Did a distribution upgrade to 8.10 Sunday 26th Oct. and it`s still
the same. In a screen of 1024x768 (or 1280x1024) games like Trackballs

Acer 5720 Laptop, Intel core 2 duo T7300 (2ghz),2gb Ram, Mobile Intel

Despite all software updates still no change, so I downloaded 8.04 RC. and did
a fresh install. After enabling restricted graphics driver and rebooting I got
a box stating "Ubuntu is running in low graphics mode screen graphics not
detected correctly" and upon logging in a message "Faile

While trying to get GDM to display properly I went into xorg.conf and removed
all video modes below 1024x768 this had no effect on the login but certain
games gave that "Cannot display video mode" message again. I typed [EMAIL
PROTECTED] back into xorg.conf and the games worked

After todays update (Sat 8th March) I cannot change the screen resolution of

Exchange environment configured for IMAP and using Sunbird to manage
my calendar after becoming S & T of Evolution's BS.

As far as I can tell, python should default to whatever C uses, and
processing floats should "just work", however that never turns out as
planned... I can work around this using 'locale.atof()' instead of
'float()', assuming python interprets your localizations settings
