I had no problems with Ubuntu 23.10 but upgraded to 24.04 as recommended
by the "update-manager" options.
The audio problem seemed to improve with the kernel 6.8.0.38. (I updated
via update-manager interface.) (Previous update attempt via USB boot
had much worse audio proble
I have also encountered a problem where the audio quits working. To
correct the problem - I open sound settings and change "Configuration"
to "Digital Stereo ..." and then back to "Digital Surround 5.1 ...".
