I had to install the nvidia driver 185.19 in order to get anything
working. Now there are no problems in the Xorg.0.log
The problem seems to be oxygen. It seems to crash kwin.

IMHO this is not a minor issue. Every machine I have installed jaunty on

Whilst I understand the reasons stated above for tor having been dropped
from 9.04, it came as a surprise to upgrade from 8.10 to find it
missing! I didn't spot anything about lack of tor in the 9.04 release
notes either. That leaves me with a machine that was mainly for running
tor without a lot
Killing tracker-indexer frees some of the file locks, tracker-indexer
gets restarted, and "File Open" dialogues then only take a few seconds
to appear, like normal.

the 2.6.27 kernel is in the intrepid BETA release. You can get the live-
CD for intrepid-BETA and test it from there.
