I did a clean install from cd-rom of Ubuntu 8.10. Within the installation I
choosed 'Dutch / Nederlands'. After that the installation was fully in Dutch.
So far so good.
After the installation I get the login screen. All the words eg. username where
in English. After login
I've the same problem with Karmic (9.10) on my Dell Latitude E6500 with
synaptics.
It do not happen always. 3/4 of the time my touchpad is working okay after
suspend, and 1/4 of the times it is very slow after suspend.
My workaround is to suspend my laptop again, and bring it back. Most of the

Update: I tryed gnome3 and had the same 100% CPU problem, my conclusion was
that it was not a compiz problem for me.
After searching I found a topic about NVIDIA 295.40 driver that was released 11
april 2012 was the problem.

I have the same problem, and see this bug is still waiting for a full
backtrace. When I'm using the computer remotly by SSH (commandline) everything
is working fine.
When I am using X (unity/compiz or gnome), the desktop crashes randomly when I
am using programs, browsing, etc. most of the times

still the same problem. I can let it crash quickly with playing the

looked up for text editor, drag/dropped the text editor icon to the launch bar,
and now there is an empty space between the icons. If I click the empty space
