I think I have a related issue in Jaunty.
Sometimes after resuming from suspend my usb mouse stopped working - it worked
for a few seconds and then stopped. Same after replugging it or plugging to
different port. I don't know which helped - rebooting to Mac OS X for a moment,
or booting with usb

The touchpad driver (synaptics? appletouch? I don't remember) is configured to
emulate right and middle click so everything works after uninstalling mouseemu.

When I uninstalled mouseemu I've noticed that F9 does something strange with
backlight. I have the F1-F12 keyswap activated, and after uninstalling mouseemu
F9 switches to lower backlight level and back.

Currently I have to use a 3rd party tool (Ubuntu Tweak) to change which icons
appear on the desktop.
