Ubuntu automatically filed the report for this and then I manually
started Ubuntu one and now it seems to work fine. I am using 64 bit
ubuntu karmic and the english version.

Happened to me on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit. It was fixed by:
1. Going to Ubuntu One online and remove any unneccesary overlaps- things with
the same name. Keep your current account with Ubuntu One sync to desktop
2. After deleting, log off and log on again.
3. Then, make sure you are logged into ubuntu
For step one, I meant to remove any overlap computers. You can do that
through this: https://one.ubuntu.com/account/machines/
